Copper Product Guide

Copper alloys are often reddish or pinkish in color. They are well-known for their flexibility and ductility, which contribute to their ease of working and their conduction of heat and electricity. However, when exposed to water, copper forms an oxide coating, or patina, which may be polished off. Hence, it is often designated for use in commercial applications where there is a requirement for either flexibility in roofing or plumbing. For example, it serves as an electrical conductor for electromagnets, bus bars, and electrical motors.

In domestic and residential architectural purposes, it is often employed for the primary purpose of its color, especially for cutting board or kitchens backsplach. Also, it serves as a heat transmission quality in pots and pans.

In addition to Electrolytic Tough Pitch (ETP Copper), pure copper (alloys 101–110) is also known as ETP Copper.

C110 Copper

Copper C110 is a metal that is well-known for its malleability and ductility, as well as its ability to transfer heat and electricity. It is often in the form of reddish pink. Grade like Electrolytic tough pitch comprises 99.9%pure copper with a conductivity of 101%. This material has various uses because of its conductivity level, resistance to corrosion, and flexible nature. For most applications, 1/8 H or 1/4 H hardness is available in Grade C110 Copper, which has excellent annealing resistance.

C122 Copper

This material performs very well in situations requiring heavy-forming operations when deoxidizing phosphorus. 122 copper is almost equal to 110 copper in terms of mechanical properties and corrosion resistance in the water. The main benefit of 122 over 110 is that it is simpler to shape and has improved weldability and brazing capabilities. It’s accessible to hot-form and cold-form. However, the most common use for this material is in pipes and tubing.
